As part of the "SMART ŻYWIEC - (r)evolution" project, an agreement was signed on 15.06.2022 between representatives of the City of Żywiec and MOSTMARPAL Sp. z o.o company from Zarzecze. The agreement will be implemented in the "Design and Build" mode.

The subject of the agreement is: 

1. Development of comprehensive project documentation together with all building permits, decisions, opinions and agreements necessary for implementation.

2. Construction of a footbridge on the Sola.River

3. Construction of walking-bicycle tracks:

    a. from the footbridge on the Koszarawa river to the footbridge on the Sola River.

    b. from the footbridge on the Solą River to Tetmajera Street in the direction of the transfer center at the Slonka Street 

    c. behind the Czarni Góral sport field  to  the footbridge on the Lesnianka

4. Installation of bicycle racks, bicycle services, benches and trash cans in designated places along the routes.

5. Installation of video surveillance cameras and installation of RES lighting at selected points.

Implementation of the subject of the contract will change the traffic habits of residents and consequently, will reduce emissions in the city, as well as increase the physical activity of residents necessary to improve the health of the population.

Handover of the complete project documentation with an authorized construction permit decision will take place at the end of Q2/early Q3 of 2023, after which construction work on the ground will begin.
